The logos you see are really Smacker movies. They are 8 bits, so the
option of putting them into a window would mean that you have to
unsmack into an 8 bit buffer and then copy, which would be too slow -
not for those from the Demo, but for the 4+ minutes of rendered movies
in the game :)

The screen that is opened is 8 bit, so the unsmack can go there
directly. Only under AGA is the detour over an offscreen buffer used...

I think I know what is causing this. There was a truncated file in the
archive, that contains the in-game message strings, and this operation
will display some small message that it cannot find.

Usually, your configuration is automatically saved once you
exit. Everything is stored in the "user" directory, in a file
"config.cfg", which can also be edited using a normal text editor
(although of course the ingame method is much more confortable).

You find the fix on our web page. I will try to reproduce it, but this
definately does not happen in the full version...
